Brian Srubar
About Brian

Since graduating from the University of Houston Law Center in 2015, Brian has practiced civil litigation covering a wide variety of subject areas, focusing particularly on complex commercial disputes, labor and employment litigation, and property damage cases. After gaining valuable experience at a boutique commercial litigation firm in Houston, Brian joined the GreatLaw team as a senior associate and began working under Brian Trachtenberg—at which point he agreed to be referred to simply as “Srubar”.
Brian places a particular emphasis on crafting persuasive, clear, and concise written arguments, and on taking a deep dive into the subject matter at issue in a dispute to learn all important facets of a subject before putting pen to paper. In addition to having second-chair jury trial experience, he has practiced in state and federal courts in Texas and multiple other states. During law school, Brian was the Head Senior Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law, competed on the Moot Court team as both a brief writer and as an oral advocate for competitions focused on Space Law and Environmental Law, and clerked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas.

Outside the office, Brian is an avid reader and musician, and can usually be found outdoors with a science fiction book in hand, or at home with his two cats crafting music on his guitar and piano
